Does anyone know how many years the Woodcraft knives were made.
I have went about as far as I can with the Yello-Jaket knives, and want to start something else.
The catalog I have shows Woodcraft as a Sword Brand, but a check on Ebay doesn't give any results.

I don't have a wide enough spread of Camillus catalogs yet to answer your question, but here is the Woodcraft Series illustration from the Catalog #5 circa 1996 for those who are not familiar with them:

Perhaps Phil or Camco can tell us.

I saw some that stated they were Woodcraft, but did not have the swordbrand marking on the tang that my catalog shows. I then checked another catalog, and it showed the ones with Camillus NY on tang.
Some things are really confusing.

Nice Job again Codger!!

Best as I can remember it was introduced in '95 or '96.

After a couple of years, they were changed & made without any handle rivets, (wood was bonded on,).

Would I be wrong in believing that this series was the basis of the SFO's for Sears for quite a few years?

As you can see, this is the Craftsman 95313. I bought several of these clampacks when Sears was closing them out in 2004-05.

Same knives, nickel silver bolsters, thicker wood of 2 layered colors was used on woodcraft.

The one with Sword Brand markings, are in a 1990 catalog. Things that make you go hmmmmmm.......

Here is the catalog illustration from 1990, along with the model listing clip from the facing page.

Beautiful wood laminations. I suppose this is the work of Fibron?

The 1992 catalog number 3 arrived. Here is the Woodcraft series page and stamp.

So judging by these catalogs so far, it seems the tang stamp changed in 1991 or 1992.

I appreciate the compliment Jack. But hardly. I've just been acquiring the catalogs instead of the knives.

I have been digging and looking in a lot of crannies, and it seems like the woodcraft knives are hard to find. I found one site that has the later style, at least most of them, but they only ship UPS (PO Box here) and their online ordering seems to be not working..... guess I will keep looking, or maybe try another series.
