Wooden Wednesday - Traditionals only please

Thanks for the comment Mark. A lot of purty wood shown today.:thumbup::)

Fresh off the makers bench(makers pic). A little bird and trout in ironwood from Ben Seward. On it's way to me this week.

Still the same knife, different day... Love the Jobillo wood covers...

This one is special not just because it is a first run TC Barlow, but because it was a gift from a fellow forum member. Thank you Sarah. It's not left my side since I received it.

Here are a few of my woodies who needed some Sunlight and oil. Spring is finally sprung here in the wilds of the North.

Have a great day folks.

Best regards

Robin

Late to this wonderful "Wooden Wednesday" thread, so thought I'd post some eye candy from my collection. This wood (amboyna burl) was sculpted by the maker, John Doyle, who also forged the blade. Gambler's Hideaway Bowie

That's a fine little fixed blade. What steel did Ben use on this one? He has been working with 80CrV2 some lately with great results and his 1075 always performs great. Nice to see some Seward Steel here.

Todd, that's a beauty!! Hope you bring it when we go get a beer next. Such a great gift from a great forum member. Well done Sarah.

The Burgh, that John Doyle is outstanding. John has the fit and finish down as well as anyone.

1075 on this one, Chris. I'll be playing with 80CrV2 more in the future though.

I absolutely love desert ironwood...

Jake, ironwood and koa are the kings of "knifewood" in my book, and this one of yours is just a perfect knife. The rattail long bolster with the NYKC shield, long pull and great swedge . . . just one of the best!

A lovely knife

The Burge: beautiful knife from John. His sculpting is excellent! I've really enjoyed working with John on past and current projects. Wonderful knife for your collection.
