Wooden Wednesday - Traditionals only please

I need to get a comparison shot of it next to my boy's knife for size comparison.

I would like to see that, I was thinking they were about the same size.

Thanks Pistonsandgears! It is Birchwood Casey Perma Blue, the blade, springs and bolsters were treated with it. I really like the way it darkened the stamp in the bolsters.
Thanks, i'll have to find some of that and give it a try

A little early, but it's Wednesday somewhere right?

Thanks Doug. You should get one. It took me years to take the plunge, but when I did this knife quickly became a favorite.

My first store bought GEC.
It doesn't have the sweet curves of a peanut, but it do feel good to hold.

Whoa, sweet Nessmuk Smithhammer! Who made it? <drool>

Peanut for me today, pinched that is, with some nice burl handles:

Busy cutting up apples? Looking good
The angled grain really suits this knife (and both sides are perfectly matched).

I'm carrying a piece of Cocobolo too, but mine's much darker and curlier.

Sturzi, yes to me nothing adds a beautiful patina like slicing fruit, letting the knife sit for just a few minutes then rinsing and dab of min oil.
I love the range of cocobolo that GEC uses, nearly guaranteed something different with every knife. Gives a nice identity to what we pocket and enjoy.
