I really like that fixed blade, a very fine, and undoubtedly useful, looking knife.

Thanks, Dylan, much appreciated. Stuart's knives are beautifully made, with high hardness steels, and his prices are very reasonable. This one is CPM-M4 @ 64 HRc, and will hold an edge seemingly forever, while being light and nimble in the hand.

A gift from my daughter who returned from Spain (for good) on Sunday. Oak-handled Opinel #8 with stainless blade and boars on the handle (Kris/MT Damascus should get one of these ) that I've named my Opignel.

Funny you should ask Mike. This morning I couldn't get it open except with padded pliers. I have rock hard fingernails, oiled it, washed it, and worked it back and forth and suddenly it was inoperable. I found these which I combined.
