  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

IMG_1800.PNG Since I carry the 2016 BF knife at work every day I thought I'd start carrying this one outside of work and subject it to the every day challenges of life. And without a protective slip!!!!! If I hold to my promise I'll have a before and after pic in a year from now. But it's going to be tough since I have a lot of knives I love to carry.

Well, it's the third time this guy here has cut me and the second time that it was deep. I guess that's fitting for a Wednesday, right?

The pull is a good 9 and it snapped back on the half stop and knocked my finger free sending the knife blade right across my knuckle on my thumb. Took a corner about the size of a round carpenter's pencil eraser clean off.
I was supposed to be starting on a wood carving for my mother-in-law but instead I was trying to keep blood from getting all over my desk.

I guess me and this knife need to have a talk.

:p ""We accept you, we accept you. One of us, one of us. Gooble-gobble, gooble-gobble."" :p
Apparently, I've lived a cinematically-sheltered life, since I had to use Google (Goggle ;)) to find the source of this quote. I don't think I'd ever heard of the film Freaks before; what I've learned is mildly disturbing to this old boy!
Thanks for expanding my horizons, r8shell!;)

Tod Browning's Freaks really is an amazing film. ;)
