r8shell, the spear point with long pull is sweet!! And yes, Valley Forge did make some very sturdy Jacks (if my sample of one is any indication). Seems with a little care it could last another 100 years... or so.

Last week I found a 1987 Buck 305 Lancer, which got me into researching the history of the Buck slipjoints. That, in turn, motivated me to get out my 1989 Buck 703 Colt. I carried it for a couple of days and realized: darn, this is a really nice knife! I need to start carrying it more often. Meanwhile, I think it'll make a good contribution for Wooden Wednesday.

Thanks boykinlp I've been doing a few oak carved sheaths every batch lately.

Lostball That sheath already went to TN yesterday. The knife is still here. My last piece of cocobolo. Have to get some more.

It can be gorgeous Spaten . I've got several big boxes. I traded a custom rifle maker out of his stock cut offs.
