r8shell, the spear point with long pull is sweet!! And yes, Valley Forge did make some very sturdy Jacks (if my sample of one is any indication). Seems with a little care it could last another 100 years... or so.

Last week I found a 1987 Buck 305 Lancer, which got me into researching the history of the Buck slipjoints. That, in turn, motivated me to get out my 1989 Buck 703 Colt. I carried it for a couple of days and realized: darn, this is a really nice knife! I need to start carrying it more often. Meanwhile, I think it'll make a good contribution for Wooden Wednesday.

Thanks @boykinlp I've been doing a few oak carved sheaths every batch lately.

@Lostball That sheath already went to TN yesterday. The knife is still here. My last piece of cocobolo. Have to get some more.

It can be gorgeous @Spaten . I've got several big boxes. I traded a custom rifle maker out of his stock cut offs.
