Great ones! Did they make a white owl in ironwood? That would be a great combo.
Thanks JTB_5! A ironwood 68 would be a beautiful thing but as far as I know, one has not been made. We can keep our fingers crossed for one. :) I'm just happy to have the cocobolo.:thumbsup:

New arrival! Drizzling rain today, not much light for pics. Non-SFO 14, the ebony is jet black on both sides. Thanks to JohnDF JohnDF for giving the forum a heads up on these.

Glad somebody here was able to pick one up. Ebony is one of my all time favorites. Figured if I wasn't getting one, somebody should.

I could have praised the quality of every knife posted today; an explosion of xyloid excellence!!:cool::cool::thumbsup:
Instead, I picked out a few posts that caught my fancy after supper tonight.

Today with an old Portuguese from MAM-Palaçoulo...

The only wood-handled knife I'm actually carrying this week is a MAM very similar to Pt-Luso Pt-Luso 's, but his is much more nicely aged than mine!:thumbsup::cool:

Stuart, you almost always manage to come up with out of the ordinary cutlery examples; this one is VERY distinctive and intriguing!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Five Camillus 5" lockbacks. The four on the bottom are Sword Brand 886's and the top is a regular 886.

Man, that wood grain on the lower four is really appealing, E edbeau !:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I have a couple of wood-clad knives on nearly-permanent kitchen duty that I'll post this week - an Opinel #7 carbone and my Union Jack, a rosewood lambsfoot.

Thanks, GT. It's another that I am lucky to have. Not only are the nickel silver bolsters angled, they are dovetailed with the covers:

And you know that I'm a fool for an Opinel, It is THE knife is many ways.

I really need to get some better pictures of this one. Bog Oak Damascus Barlow.

Those pictures are quite captivating enough.
