I was instantly struck by the similarities. Obviously your's is a folder and mine is not, but the shape, blade treatment and wooden handle are strikingly similar:

I really like the fixes you post regularly (and your photos in general).
On this Laguiole is mounted a san maï blade forged by Davide Steri, the handle is made of burr ash.
In an aesthetic style close to your knife, I have a dorgalese by Davide Steri in amboyna root and san maï blade.

Yeah had a wrong pic up there too. Fixed it. Gorgeous blade there. Very cool.

IIRC, Yew was often used to make English longbows.

Home today with the wife babysitting our 6 month old grandson. I don't think I need this many blade options for babysitting but fun to have next to me and admire while cradled into a comfortable chair.
Recovered with rosewood Pal Cut cattle punch and a Fight'n Rooster covered in what I'm guessing is cocobolo.
