Woodman's Pal: Opinion's wanted.

While playing around with the Barteaux machete that I reviewed recently, I got to wondering about the Pal. What's your opinion of it? Thanks.

Then again, if it weighs 23oz, I think I'm better served with other tools in my collection...

Guys,
I've used one off and on for about fifty years. They are designed for brush, saplings and vines.
It does a much better job of it than a machete, which out performs the WP on tough grasses and such. It is quite compact in relation to its performance, but if it weighed less it would suffer badly in performance.

They are well worth the money, although new ones cost about 5X what I paid for mine.
