  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

woods bag

I almost want to make another knife like that just to do it right. Real convex instead of bad scandi. Glad it's actually being used.

One of these days I'm just going to give you money and tell you to put a bag together. looking towards setting up a knife pouch survival kit type thing and a maxpedition water bottle carrier.

you need to spend a few hours at Daves Surplus.............a black hole vortex of gear awesomeness..................One can enter the store and not re-emerge for several days........but it only feels like a minute......:D :p :D

I picked up one of those too, except without the mag pouches.

I've since removed the Admin pouch from the front and I haven't decided what to replace it with yet. I'm really exicted about the possibilities this bag offers.

^ thats a real slick setup John! almost makes me wish i had gone with the PALS front (i could always take it back and trade it in......)

try a 5.11 Medical pouch on the front......

Very cool setup. I love all of the Maxpedition gear. Very high quality stuff.

Just curious why the cooker is on top of the canteen cup? For the picture maybe? Mine will fit around the steel cup and fit in the canteen pouch. Bryan had a good idea about using 2 canteen cups and stacking one upside down on top of the canteen. Nice set up, like the knife. Regards

Bushman,

A bit OT but I just saw your review of an HSGI bag at another forum. Looks very functional as well. How does it compare?

Better yet, if you have the time or interest, how about a head-to-head? ;)

cooker fits there quite nicely. either/or it could go on the bottom too...I do find though that the edges of the cooker abrade thru the bottom of a bag pretty quick, whereas the cup is nice and rounded and smooth.

if your referring to my HSGI PH:eek::eek::eek:emup bag over at EDC FORUMS, its not really suitable for a woods bag....no shoulder strap, and a bit big/bulky. But for a grab and go EDC bag the HSGI rocks.
