I have some Merrell crosstrainers (Moab XCR''s I believe) with Vibram soles and Gore-Tex uppers. They are warmer than running shoes and, so far, have been good at keeping my feet dry in wet grass and rainy conditions.
I don't have any but the inov-8 Roclite 390 GTX sounds like the kind of thing you are looking for. It's a fell running boot. There's the fungly inov-8 Roclite 288 GTX too, claimed to be the worlds lightest waterproof boot. Dunno how many make that claim though. Happy searching.
I wear cross country racing shoes for regular running. Fivefingers don't fit me, but closeout Nike spikes in size 15 do. They're a bit stiffer than I like, but after about 30 miles they get soft enough, and they're thin in the sole with little to no heel-toe rise. I can also usually find them for $10-30 a pair.
I bought a pair of Feelmax shoes a while ago, and had them stolen in a week. They were well made and comfortable though, and I'm considering a pair of their boots for the winter, if they'll make them in a large enough size: http://www.extremeoutfitters.us/feelmaxkuusaamen-1-1.aspx
You could also get a larger pair of Fivefingers, paired with some Injinji performance toe socks.
