  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Woods outing with the GF's daughter

Great pics Bushy I can just feel that aromatic resin resin dripping from that fatwood !!!!

Hope the girlfriends as eager to get as dirty as her daughter is !!!!!:D:thumbup:

It's an amazing thing you are doing with her. Kids learning how to set up camp and build fire, generally tends not to go astray.
I've been living in BC for about 5 years now, and have been to some areas in interior, like Yale, Jones Lake and such, but never been to North Shore or Sunshine Coast areas. Would love to find some places where I can do some bushwacking like you. Maybe growing up under the Alberta sky, I naturally seek mountains, rather than coast. But it's about high time I get used to the coast.

Nice shelter and that is some great fatwood. Just tell the psychologist you were teaching him bushcraft and he got too into it. :)

Where is the crying emoticon when you need it. :grumpy:

After reading the title of this thread I was a little afraid that the first line was going to be "Dear Penthouse. . . "

Great to get a youngster out. She's fortunate to have a mentor with not only the skills but the patience.

Mebe the boy could sate his thirst for fire by doing it out in the woods?? Hard to say what you're getting into there though, but would be nice if dong something constructive would give him a way to use up some energy.

Can't see the pics, but I will try later.

Also great that the older fella recognized and appreciated what was going on.

sorry about the bandwidth issue, nothing i can do about it.

will RE-host the pics on THE BUSH LAB blog soon....(gotta load em up there)
