Just an update to this project for everyone, I submitted my designs and ideas to Bruce and we have gone back and forth brainstorming for a few months and some of the additions is that since this is such a "BIG" knife it will have a smaller knife "piggybacked" to the sheath, the sheath will also feature some pocket(s), firesteel loop and piggy back straps to configure it to be worn a few different ways. May even work out some sort of baldric. We are still working out the details of the finish, want something similar to the predator knife finish but without doing the same beadblasted/polished finish. The piggyback knife will have the same handle material and finish and be 4" blade, 8.5" overall length.
Bruce recently just got in 20 feet of 5160 in 13/64" so he is looking at starting this up in July. Very exciting! I told him to keep me posted so I will post any pics and info he sends my way.
