Woodsman's Axe

A hand forged carpenter's or woodsman's axe. Hand forged with a mild steel body and a 1095 edge. The head measures 8 inches long with a cutting edge of 5 3/4 inches. The handle was turned from curly maple and is fitted with a wedge and pin. The handle to the top of the head is a little over 23 inches. This axe also includes a basic leather sheath so that it can be hung up, worn on the belt, or on a pack. The sheath will be made from 7 ounce black leather with stainless steel rivets.
