So I've been on the forum for over four years....I've never flamed anyone until now....and I've dealt with NUMEROUS overseas buyers and sellers. I had a knife for sale that two overseas buyers expressed interest in.....I stated I'd deal with OS buyers but to contact me first. They both did and they both took WEEKS to work through the particulars.....in the end they both flaked and never contacted me again. The two are Woodsteel23 in Singapore and nederlandms in the Netherlands. Netherlandms asked many questions....getting to a point of asking for shipping particulars and then completely ceasing contact at that point.....Woodsteel23 took weeks to return emails and asked many, many questions....had the nerve to to excoriate me about a potential trade deal as being too ONE-SIDED.....guy with no feedback....go figure. This is just a heads-up.....wanted to notify other bladeforum members about these two. My advice is deal with them at your own risk.......

Just a follow-up. I notified both Woodsteel23 and netherlandms about this thread.....wanted to be above-board and above-reproach in all aspects. If they choose to respond....take it for what it's worth.

Well like i stated in the PM back to you i really forgot about it. And again Yes im sorry that i didn't reply faster.
I was into another transaction and someone PM'ed me. Mail box full. Deleted everything didn't even see your PM anymore.
Also not trying to offend you again. But why didn't you PM me again if you had another transaction in mind? You pm'ed after 3 weeks telling me I should reply.
But sorry for not replying to you anymore. Bad manners Il take it as a lesson learned to respond to everything ASAP.

The other transaction was LONG............get the point.......after you didn't respond to me. Please spare me the lame excuses......yes you can take it as a lesson learned.....long after the fact and long after you failed to follow through. Three weeks!!?? As stated....lame, lame and lame. I gave you ample time to follow-up.........did I say lame??

By the way.....full disclosure....no money changed hands....no feedback was left. This is an attempt to help others from wasting their time....nothing more and nothing less.

No offense But aren't you a tad overeacting? I understand I was wrong and that i should have replied to you.
I stated in the last PM: Il consider buying the knife.
I forgot about replying indeed. but to be angry about it?
If i were you i would have either Pm'ed the potential buyer again. or ignore him and move on.

Again its true that im to blame that i didn't reply to your PM.
But to start the flame after 3weeks i mean come on........

I did move on.....you wasted my time......I'm notifying others to be aware.......did you fail to notice that in the original post??

1. Did either of the potential buyers request that you hold the knife pending their decision?

If not, you were perfectly free to sell to anyone else (assuming you had any more likely lookers). This would have conserved
your relatively precious time

2. Any potential customer either international or domestic has every right to ask as many questions and receive answers before
they pulled the trigger. In fact, it is considered the smart thing to do to avert as many "bad deals" as possible.

3. One of your buyers apologized profusely for not being prompt with his answers and explained in part why in
consecutive posts.

You continued to berate him instead of accepting his apology like a man in his first post here, and then moving on.

4. You have a lot of positive feed back, but most of it is crammed into a short (6 months) period.

Your reaction to this minor incident posting in an open forum does very little to enhance that positive feed back

5. It may ONLY be me, but I do not view this as the end of the world.

Best regards,

Paul

Agreed. Asking questions is the smart thing to do. I'm pretty sure my feedback is more than 6 months but thanks for playing. Dealing with someone like a man.....please....don't waste my time!!

This is another reason I'm sick of knife collecting......please cancel may account. I take the time to notify the members of flakes and I've got members questioning MY integrity?? Paul, you seem like a nice guy but stop wasting my time.

Apparently, lots of people waste your time! If you set these items aside, that is your own fault. If you denied purchases from others to talk with these guys, sorry, that is on you. Honestly, I don't sell outside of the US, this not being the reason. I am just not willing to risk losing a knife sending it out of our boarders. As a good seller if an item goes missing, I will need to reimburse the buyer. My policy is, the item is still for sale until someone pays for it. You can't let your time get wasted by putting up with flakes. Well, at least I don't. End of story.

CRAYTAB.....Yes, people waste my time.....is that a surprise?? You're telling me you've experienced otherwise?? To Sheathmaker and others, I guess I must have been remiss in mentioning that this wasn't anything but an attempt to give heads-up to potential sellers that these overseas sellers are not worth your time?? If you don't sell outside of the US....congrats....don't post in my thread. I didn't hold it, didn't promise it to anyone....never said otherwise. If you abide by flakes.....your fault not mine. I'm trying to help.....if you don't want my assistance, also.....stop wasting my thread!! END OF STORY.....

Seriously, glad to get out of knife collecting.....this is simply ridiculous! I'm done helping.....good luck with people. I try to help and this is the response I get......glad to be done.

Really, that's the best you got......I have over 200 positive feedbacks and after reading my post you have the temerity to say good riddance?? You don't reach out to me, you simply dismiss my attempts to help the forum......that's the exact reason I said what I said....I've wasted too much time on people who haven't the common decency......done and done.

We have been seeing this more and more the last couple months. Someone starts a thread in the GB&U to complain about another member and it ends up making the OP look bad. Nothing happened in this transaction. It wasn't even a transaction. Your time can only be wasted if you allow it to be wasted.

My attempt was to help people prior to problems happening....it's called being proactive. Guess we no longer try to help each other out....that was the attempt. I have dealt with people for four years and I know a lame excuse when I hear it.....that's what it was. If my time was wasted....well, chances are other member's time will be wasted. If you want your time to be wasted.....ignore this thread and move on. If you'd like to avoid that, read on......

Yes, it wasn't a transaction.....it should've been on two occasions but wasn't. I've been very clear about this....I'm not crying over spilled milk. I'm trying to help others.......I'm amazed at the total lack of clarity here.

You know what....I'm done. I'm not looking to spend my whole night responding to idiots. I tried to help....it was a wasted attempt. Good luck to you all......this one is done!!!
