Congrats man! Its a great knife that you will love.

I typically just use the CRK grease if I have it. Otherwise I use the Extreme Fluoro grease.
 
I prefer Nano Oil (10 weight) over CRK Grease by a very considerable margin. I did not think I would care as much as I do, but over the last couple years I've found that the Nano Oil is better in every way: easier to apply without dis-assembly, easier to cover all surfaces without over lubricating, collects less dust, lasts longer.

The most important trick to using CRK Grease is to not over-apply, as it attracts dust and grime. The issue is that because the grease is thick, it can be difficult to cover every surface (both sides of both washers, inside and outside of bushing, inside of blade pivot hole, etc.) without applying too much. Then when you tighten everything down surplus grease gets squeezed out of the cracks. I recommend applying grease to the blade pivot hole and bushing but not (or very sparingly) to the washers. After reassembly work the blade open/closed a while to spread the grease.


I just want to address this. While you are correct I use a method (which I heard of on this forum) of getting a small paint brush and squirting the grease into a little cup or whatever you will use. I picked up these tiny little seal-able travel containers from walmart that work perfectly. Anyways, squeeze the grease into there and use the paint brush to apply grease to all areas you need to. It keeps you from over applying and lets you get precisely the amount, coverage, and thickness of grease desired. On top of that it makes the grease last much longer as you have no waste.

As a side note when I looked into this method I was looking for paint brushes and they were all a little expensive because I wanted them to be disposable. I ended up finding a pack of 30 small paintbrushes at Walmart for $1.00 if I remember correctly.
 
For the first month I owned mine I rotated daily between my Sebenza and my other knives, but now that it's slightly more worked in and I've cleaned it a couple times, sharpened it a couple times (which is REALLY easy to do with flat sharpening stones), and gotten a few light scuffs on it, I can't set it down. I've completely proverbially become smitten with this knife and carrying it! I have a Sage 1 on the way that I plan on carrying for about a week straight without touching my Sebenza, but I have a feeling the Sage will be shelved just like my PM2 was. It's not that those aren't amazing knives, they're freaking awesome, and in some ways the PM2 is a more usable knife, but the Sebenza is truly an admirable work of art that is also an amazing carry...it's like having a real life Mona Lisa that also brings you beer and mexican food whenever you want it!
