woooooooooo hooooooooooo

I enjoy getting into shark mode every Friday even if there isn't anything I plan on going for. It still feels a bit intimidating, so it's nice to see a story of success. I can imagine the success of acquiring the particular knife you wanted creates a certain kind of sentiment that will be attached to the knife for as long as you have it.

Enjoy your new Fiddlethingy! (Thanks Whitty for the new term. It was the best part of your story, if you're reading this)

I know what you mean about going into shark mode and the excitement and anticipation of what is to come that day....it is intimidating, but all one can do is give it a shot and have fun with the whole experience....i tried to shark one I liked last week for the 1st time and didn't get it, but i knew that this week would bring a new batch of beauties....so don't get discouraged, I literally could not have posted any faster today and still had like the 16th post....these sharks are top line predators, be prepared for disappointment, but be persistent and you will succeed.

I agree about the attachment - I really wanted to shark my 1st Fiddleback knife directly from the Forge rather than buy from a retailer. Although there is no difference, it somehow feels more personal to me I guess? I don't plan on parting with this one as it is my 1st. I hope to give it many years of good use and someday pass it on to someone who will appreciate it too.

Congrats. I wish my wife was as happy as you when it comes to sharing a Fiddlethingy.

sorry, had to let it out....sharked my 1st Fiddleback today and I'm so freakin' excited.....no one here to share my joy with right now.

Congratulations, very nice snag. Phil is right, the Bushcrafter has a very comfy handle. I have several fond memories of one I had, miss that knife...

Yes, it will be a long week lol.

Congrats on snagging your new BC. I picked up a similar one in Black Micarta a few weeks ago with the 5 Mosaic Pins and I can assure you that you're going to really like your new knife. Funny in that I managed to snag the BC Jr today that was matched up with your new BC......I guess that makes us Fiddleback Brothers !

I am really looking forward to handling one of the BC Jrs.

Congrats. I wish my wife was as happy as you when it comes to sharing a Fiddlethingy.

The trick is to get her to like them too, and hope she doesn't like them as much as you do :D

I hear ya, nice rig for Mrs. Mist. My wife travels about 2-3 days a week. Not sure if airport security would appreciate them.
