I actually have customers!

There's actually people out there who want my knives!

I posted on another forum (yo-yo nation. Don't laugh, yo-yo's are a LOT of fun) that I would be willing to trade a hand made knife for some good yo's, and supplies (like extra strings, bearings, and such). Offer open only to adult (18+) throwers.

The response was pretty predictable at first... PICS PLZ was basically it.

So, I spent some time luvin up the camera, and took photos of the knives I've made that I still have here, and posted them up.

And got overwhelmed with offers. many including cash. Overall, each offer adds up to a price that I would be embarrased to ask for in straight up cash. Generally speaking, in the $120 ish range for fairly basic requests. One guy wants a special dagger, but is offering over $200 worth of yo-schwag for it!

Holy crap... That means I gotta go make some knives!

Yo-yo-yo-yo My only advice is look at each knife and make sure you want them to have it. You may have to remake some but it worth it not to have work you are not pleased with out there. Have fun Yo-yo-yo-yo

That's great advise. I think I'll take it!

Honestly, I gave these guys a time estimate of about twice as long as I think I'll need for each project, and warned them that if I run into a major problem, that time could easily double.

Everyone seemed ok with that, as long as I didn't expect them to send their trade and / or payment until they could see pics of the (at least nearly) finished product. I thought that sounded reasonable.
