Had a not so nice experience with a piece of C-tek from Composite Craft this afternoon. I had cut a piece out of a small blank of the material, and I was proceeding to thickness it down to about .150 it inexplicably broke into two pieces:grumpy:
I was concerned whether or not I got a bad piece from the company, so I jotted off an email to the company.
I'll let you guys read a couple emails I sent this afternoon:
Hello,
I received your material the other day and finally had a chance to to make a scale with it today. As I was thicknessing it down to 1/8", the piece inexplicably fractured in my hand. I am kind of perplexed why this may have occurred. Have other knife makers encountered this? Could I possibly have gotten a defective piece? That piece of C-Tek was expensive, I am going to have a hard time promoting your product if I can't get usable material that is stable either in my hands or my customers.
Please advise,
Thanks,

Personally guys, let my pain and expense be your gain: Stay away from this company, they seem to prefer sitting at a bar getting toasted more than they would prefer to take care of a customer
