I know that you said in your second post that you aren't crazy about Spydies. Certainly I believe in the axiom "each to his own" but the FRN Delica really seems to meet all the other requirements that you mentioned. If you haven't held one give it a try. You might just like it. ;)

Maybe try to find a small CRKT S-2. They can be had on Ebay for bout 35 bucks. Framelock titanium handle, 3 inch ATS-34 drop point blade. I have handled one over at Plaza Cutlery and they have a real solid feel and a nice downward curve to the ergonomics. Same titanium that is used on the Sebenza I believe, and ATS34 can be considered a step up from AUS8. Personally I favor Framelocks over Linerlocks any day. Why did CRKT discontinue this knife?

I ordered one for my friend for X-mas. May have to get me one soon before they are gone.

Also SOG is a good company to look into. They have a few THICK bladed knives that look very nice and are very tough.

Edited to add endorsement for camillus EDC, I was playing around with one the other day, great knife! I asked for a talonite one for Xmas, I am excited about it.

If you change your mind about wanting a liner lock, try the Outdoor Edge Pocket Lite. It costs about $35 and is very similar to your Voyager in materials and contruction. It is available with a 2 7/8" clip point or spear point blade.

Gotta be a BM Mini-Griptilian. Someone earlier mentioned a Grip, but it's 3.45". The mini at 2.91" is high quality, moderately priced, and has a great grip for larger hands. It is an axis lock, not a liner, but IMHO they are preferable (I know, I read the thread about the spring. But come on guys, how hard is it to send a knife back for warranty work and get it cleaned, factory sharpened, and maybe new washers for free?)

It would also double as a carry knife when i go to Michigan (why i need the 3inch blade, otherwise my 5inch Voyager would go with me).

Last time I checked Michigan did not have a state-wide length limit. Is the 3" specific to a city or have new limits been passed?

And an unrelated comment... The Spyderco Delica and Native are both just over your 3" limit.
