Work in progress...groomsmen knives

J-siah,

I haven't noticed this directly, but it is definitely possible. The blades tend to be molded very tight, where the sheath molded on both sides makes extra clearance at the edge. To help, I wrap my blades in a layer or two of masking/painter's tape to protect, and this also gives just a bit of clearance. Also, I perform my sharpening very last, after the sheath is molded. Removing material during sharpening will also provide a small bit of extra clearance.

Mark,

Sorry I lost this post during the honeymoon, and just saw your post here. I'd be glad to have you out to the shop any time you're in town. Just shoot me an email and we'll set it up. The oven is a home built, and it was a fun little project that saved me a good bit of money. I'll tell your Erin hi! Funny thing is my wife's name is Erin as well!

Ed,

Thanks for the good wishes! Any time you're ready to work on that knife, you let me know and we'll set it up.

I've got another of this design I'm finishing up right now that has a different pattern of Desert Ironwood. I'll post it up when I'm done.
