Just out of curiosity Chris, I haven't seen you use shadetree in a while. Is there a particular reason for this, or more of just a change in taste, etc?
I tend to gravitate towards the really colorful, which is why I was asking ! Thanks.
 Looking forward to the sale Chris! Glad too see all the knives you're putting out. Nothing that really strikes my interest in this next batch I don't think, we'll see once they're finished.![]()
At the moment it's just a change in personal taste. I did a lot of shade tree combos for awhile, and got a little bored with it. I wanted to offer other handle materials for a while to satisfy the demand for G10's, Carbon Fiber, paper, linen, and canvas micarta. I have a little bit of shade tree still stashed, so I am pretty sure I will circle back around to it again soon, I am also hoping shade tree will have come out with a handful of new materials during this period to allow for fresh inspiration on new combos.
What is your particular fancy at the moment?
Awesome ! Thanks for your reply Chris. Have you tried working with some of the shokwood-like stuff? Not sure about anyone else, but I've been intrigued by them and wondered if you ever plan to explore those.
Top of my "next knives to get" list are a larger knife and an EDC knife. I haven't quite decided which model I want for EDC yet, but I know I'd like to a Ranger from you for the larger knife. 1/8 or 5/32 TT and a simple synthetic handle. I'm always a big fan of green and orange. Something I could put in/on my pack when I don't want to carry any other woods tools but still want to get stuff done!
For the EDC, I've been carrying my Victorinox Pioneer for the past few months, and I usually always have a fixed blade in my car, but I want to get back to carry a fixed blade eventually.
Thanks for asking Chris! In the mean time I'll be happy to watch your sales for something else that may catch my eye. Every once in a while a knife says, "buy me now" and I can't resist.
I have a bar of CPM154 5/32 I have set aside for some Rangers. I get 3 of them out of one bar one will go to Fiddleback outpost and I will post the rest up for sale here on my forum. Most of the Rangers I have plenty of the material you desire on hand, stayed tuned to my previews I am certain it's only a matter of time before the combo you are looking for turns up.
I have also been working on expanding my lineup to include smaller EDC knives, and on the other end of the spectrum larger knives geared more towards Bushcraft, survival and a few combat knives sprinkled in.
Oh another important mention. I have been studying kitchen knive more intensely lately. have been making variants and new designs geared in that general direction. It is a gradual evolution though.

I have not tried them, I have looked at them and deadwood. I would like to try some at some point. But have not had much luck finding stuff available I like. It seems to be pretty popular. I will look into it some more.
If you have any links of places you have seen it available that would help. Maybe you know of a few place I am not aware of.
Oh yeah, were any of this batch slated to go to the Outpost or is that a separate batch? I think they were hoping to have some you before Christmas.
Thanks
I know ankrom exotics is really good stuff. That's what Andy uses if I've seen correctly, and they seem to have a good continual selection.

This website has some but they seem to be a touch pricier and the products generally look a little bit too "loud." But you never know, might be worth a search.

They also have some interesting cast pine cone, etc.

This one sells "themed" shokwood hybrid blocks by category. Click around on some of them, they look pretty nice.

I follow a handful of guys on instagram. I'll get there instagram and website information and add them to this list as I go. Hope this helps. Thanks for being a great maker who truly cares about his customers. It's cool that you are so involved, and I appreciate it.

That is a separate batch, There was a delay due to the steel being on backorder. They should be at Fiddleback Outpost before the end of the month.
