Have done that type of work off and on for years. Used a Buck with ats 34 steel which did great. The Griptilian with 154 cm steel does just as well and is stronger than you think. The Cold Steel Code 4 or American Lawman are great buys and very sturdy, if you can maneuver the triad lock. My overall pick is the Griptilian.
