Well I was lucky and won a work sharp guided sharper, with the upgrade kit and some swag off a Facebook giveaway. I'd tried it when it was brand new but having spent my own money was initially impressed enough to justify keeping it.

Well I guess I'll give it another chance with an open mind and give it an honest try. I doubt the results will be able to compete with the blade grinder and wicked edge thou.

I find it a great system, very complete, I sharpen my knives with these, you can get hair whittling sharp, just one word of advice, tape the rest of the knife, sometimes when you ran it across the stone you can scratch the side of the blade, otherwise great system

I don't like the guided system, but had the pleasure of using one of the powered belt units with the grinder attachment once and liked it a lot better.

Oops this double posted...it gave me an error the first time I tried posting...mods please merge.

Yea I discovered that the initial time I tried it.

This x 1000! Luckily I found this out on a cheaper knife.

edit: Congrats on the win, Bobby. That's a nice setup.

Nice score! I think you'll really like it! I quite like mine. Very easy to use and easy to get your knives having sharp!

very nice - congratulations.

I've been thinking about getting one to try out. Not that I "need" one, but I'm just curious to try it out myself. Both the GSS and the Ken Onion powered sharpener.

Let us know how it works out for you.
