This was purchased to do an independent review of this new unit. Along with compare to a few other sharpeners. 3 knives were sharpened with it. Meaning it is basically brand new. Includes abrasive grits: 220, 320, 400, 600, and 800 diamond, ceramic, and leather strop. While testing we found 3 improvements we felt would make a good sharpener, VER GOOD. FIRST, was a simple zip tie on the right post up/down slide fixture. This eliminated a VERY SLIGHT wobble. The SECOND, was an industrial grade High Pressure polymer ring placed around Jaw Vise frame. This eliminated a very faint wobble there. The THIRD, and most important fix were CUSTOM MACHINED SELF LUBRICATING BRASS BUSHINGS for the stone carrier. Replacing the plastic ones. WHAT A HUGE DIFFERENCE!!!! LASTLY, I had a 1x6 Stone Holder made for this unit. MEANING, you can use ANY AND ALL 1X6 STONES MADE TODAY! You are not limited to the 6 stones Work Sharp offers.
Everything is neatly put back in factory box. Bushings are installed. 4 extra sets will be provided. I will provide extra industrial seals as you can not purchase these. Along with the 1x6 New Stone Holder.
