Something tells me you have made a wrong turn and are headed down a path you dont really want to go on. WTLJ is a respected member here with 100% feedback in the hundreds. Threads like this can be dangerous, especially when the other side of the story is told.

No need to attack others. The first time I read post #5 I thought they were your words as well.
It would be more helpful to your cause to post the PM/email convos instead of only badmouthing in the first post with no facts and then later only poorly paraphrasing the event.

Based on the screnshots, you told wtlj that would would sell knives to buy his. That is committing to buy. You then backed out. Wtlj closed his ad based on your commitment. He most likely had other offers/interested parties. Now, per forum rules, he cant reliat that knife for two weeks. You are now on my "do not deal with" list. When you tell someone you are going to buy a knife from them you need to hold up to your end of the deal.

Got it. The way it was posted made it look to be your doing.
Same guy? Nope, lots of members here from Illinois. Have had 2 pleasant transactions with wtlj and that is all.
I will agree with trident on that one, little over the top even though it is frustrating when a buyer backs out.
Again they were not "buddy deals" and I don't remember ever "sticking up" for him because of them. Just looked for more details regarding your transaction other than a rant due to my experience with wtlj. I did pm him the link to your original thread because if you start a thread like that the other party should be told out of courtesy to share their side. But it seems courtesy may be a lost cause for this transaction.
