Worked or filed spine USA production pocket knives

In my small collection I own 2 Laguiole style pocket knives. I love the filed or worked back designs on them. I have seen this also on Taylor Eye Witness knives and a few special edition SAKs from Swiss Bianco.

Are there any production USA made pocket knives with the carved or filed spines? I am new here and my searches did not turn up anything. I would be happy with a Northwoods or Great Easter Cutlery. Do any of the makers like Spyderco ever accent any of their production knives in this way? I know my Benchmade 940 has the coloured back spacer and I like that.

I still remember my father taking me to buy my first pocket knife from a local corner store when I was just in grade school. That would be about 45 years ago. I can see it still held on some cardboard backing by elastic while I was making my choice. There has been a knife in my pocket most everyday since.

Hi mike,
The only one I can think of is the Buck 532.No longer in regular production,it occasionally is produced as a limited edition with fancy scales and filework.
The standard models came with some work done on the frame
hope this helps

Thanks redcanoe. I will keep my eyes open. I love buying Made in Canada/USA/UK/Australia etc with Canada and USA as my preferences. Maybe something will turn up.

I have a few Benchmades in my collection that have worked backspacers. The 482 Megumi is the only one still in production, that I know of. There was also the 480 Shoki, 483 Shori, 670/672 Apparition, 770 Osborne, and possibly some others that are discontinued.

Hi Duper, I was actually just about to list my Benchmade 482 Megumi that is unused and never carried. Shoot me a message if you are interested.

Thanks the wheel82, I will consider it. Unfortunately I am in Canada so even a fair price adds a 30% premium, plus international shipping. Looks like a very nice gentlemans folder and light weight too.
