This was going to have an ironwood handle, and go to a dealer, but I found a very small inclusion in the steel, (no this is not the same knife I posted in the Makers Gallery last week, this is the second attempt...) which I doubt most people would notice if I didn't point it out.
Anyway, I decided to put a micarta handle on it, and sell it as a using knife at a reduced price. So here you go. :)

Steel: 1086

Hardness: 58-59 RC

Blade length: 10"

Total length: 15.5"

Blade thickness: a little under 1/4"

Handle material: natural canvas micarta

Price: $375 + $12 shipping

I can take paypal, check, or MO. If using paypal, please include 3% for their fees...

Comes with leather sheath.

Thanks for looking!

How the heck can you obtain such nice fit and finish, especially with the guard, knife being hidden tang...this is beyond me. Nice grind on the blade, too! Your work is inspiring...

which kind of glue did you use with the micarta? Thanks!

Nice, I like it.

Thanks! So do I, but I don't need two....;)

This page explains how I fit guards:

I use Devcon 2 ton epoxy to attach handles, full and partial tang. Is that what you mean?

Thanks for the compliments. :)

These inclusions in the steel might be my selling point in the future! :D

Great hulk of knife!

Ugh. I hope I never find another inclusion. It's really aggravating. :(

As always, unfreakingbelievable! :D You will truly have those two letters of M.S. behind your name soon!

Somebody needs to jump here---Phillip's mistakes are better than a lot of people's best efforts...

Hey, it wasn't MY mistake! I didn't make the steel... :)

Someone did email me, so it's sold, tentatively.

Thanks all, for your comments and questions!
