I currently have Buffalo slabs for a knife project I'm working on. After the final shaping how should I finish the material? I 'm guessing that I don't oil or seal it like most woods require. Possibly sand with fine grit and then buff/polish?
Thanks for any info

Sounds like you have it figured out well Sutcliffe!

Be careful when buffing to not get the horn to hot as it will burn, leaveing ugly brown streaks.

Here again with my two cents. After you work
it down if you want a hard shine use KROL Oil
after it sets it will have very high shine,
but not to slick to Handle. Good luck in the
work.
