Working dive knife

Hey RANCD,

We still have some of the leg strap sheaths at Spyderco. I still recommend a secondary attachment if your're diving.

For what model Sal?
I think I swapped out the straps on the Caspian since they were fabric not rubber and wouldn't hold tight when the suit was compressed at depth. I haven't been able to find a good way to carry my Aqua Salt while diving so that normally stays in the boat on kayak. If there is a good way to carry the Aqua while diving I'd be interested.

Still freediving buddy? Any new PR's in the last year? Sigh....I probably couldn't make 30 meters these days.

I was up in Lofoten diving last week, but it is pretty shallow there so I wasn't deeper than 20 m. I was hoping for some diving with seals at one of my spots, but they didn't show up. There was an off chance of being able to dive with a killer whale pod, but they weren't in the area this year:( I don't have any safety divers that are much help at 40+ meters so I haven't tried beating my PB. Wife gets a bit worried when I stay down too long as well;)

She should. We lost a spear fisherman here this year on a 30-40 meter dive. He was out with a friend of mine...terrible. Be safe buddy!

Shallow water black out does claim too many lives. I usually dive very conservatively and normally don't stay down more than 2 minutes. It is easy to get excited when spearing and that increases the risk a lot.. My condolences.

I carry my aqua salt on my weight belt, in front of my left hip with the gclip mounted diagonal. Feels natural at that position and easy to unsheath.
Ultimately l prefer to have my knife on my left bicep.. hopefully will be able to do something like that with the jm2..

I normally have a small knife on my left arm and a larger dive tool/prybar on the inside of my left shin. I don't like carrying items on my belt (it gets in the way of some of my gear while scuba diving) while diving.
