I bought this at the local Ace Hardware on Thursday. I handled three or four patterns, but this one just spoke to me.
This example is from 2024, and it is the finest new-production Case knife I've handled in years. Not a bit of bladeplay, flush springs open and closed, jigging that's just right, neither too tight to use with cold hands nor too loose to be secure, and (wonder of wonders), it actually came sharp. I redid the edges as I like them, but other than a tiny bur on the last 1/4 of the clip, it was actually functional. I was genuinely impressed with all the knives I handled, but each of the three amber bone 75s were perfect (the two yellow delrin ones were also great). Maybe Case is finally stepping up.
Not a ton of work on it yet: sharpening some pencils, trimming a stray shim on a door install, tracing a cut line for a chisel, and cutting some fruit and cheese for a snack with the kids. The week ahead hold many chores, and I'll be sure to keep y'all updated on its progress.
