Working On Some Killer Cool Blades. . . .

OP 2 weeks was brilliant IMO. Plenty of time to spread out the financial pain, something new coming all the time(sweet baby Hognose War Sword, come to papa), Battle Grade versions to try out models I wouldn't otherwise spend the $$ on, and less need to be dependent on the secondary market. If they slowed the offerings down to once a month I think it would be perfect, for customers and production times both.

Can't wait to see what's in store next.

I can only say this, it will be EPIC. Jerry and the crew are bringing it BIG TIME. On a side note, I'm still catching up on all the knives that I missed thru the years:) and Rolf I am driving the crew crazy with my "motivation" :)

ASH1 with TAC handle. I drew up a design of this and looks great. Would combine the best blade shape with the most comfortable - to me - handle. Name? It nearly writes itself. Heart-a-TAC.

I too am in the same boat about not wanting O2W to come back as it was; however, I'm not sure that O2W has anything to do with the less Busse interaction here on BF, I think that's more to do with people leaving the company. While it is exciting to have a new blade option to look forward to every 2 weeks, I am really dissapionted that the custom shop closed 15 months ago with no sign of opening back up. Due to the fact that none of the O2W knives can be customized (liners, smoothed scales, etc.) it really removed the feeling that I could get a knife made for me and to my liking. Of course there have been many great blades to come out of O2W (many of which I'm proud to own), but overall O2W has somewhat lessened the overall Busse experience for me. I do very much look forward to Blade Show and future ganzaas though.

I received notice today of my final purchase under OP2W......CG BB13. I previously had used custom flexibility that allowed variants such as hand shaped scales and the addition of liners (which for me were needed........I got a bigger grip than most :rolleyes:)
If the program continues as before.......I'll most likely pass and key on Blade. I'd love to place a few custom orders, but I don't see that option opening back up anytime soon.
