Working Sheaths - Right or Left handed?

I am getting ready to make a number of sheaths and wondered how many folks out there prefer a left-handed sheath (worn on the left side) for a working knife? Do customers make a special request for lefty sheaths? Just curious.

I have never had a request for a lefty, seems odd but maybe lefties get used to mostly right handed stuff. Lately there has been alot of discussion of horizontal carry, some requests for those.

When I take an order I ask if they prefer right or left hand carry, most go for right hand carry.

Thanks guys. I'll be making all right handers for the Oregon show and will take your advice on asking suspected southpawers what they would prefer when taking orders. Ed - I will likely see you in Eugene?

On orders that I make from my own designs I usually make the sheath right handed, even though I'm a lefty:)

When I get a custom order, I will ask left or right sheath.

Hello Jim: I wont be at the Eugene show but presently presentably plan to go to Boise

Why not make a few lefty sheaths just to have on hand. Sure, we lefties may be out numbered, but why not have a few on hand just incase it might be a deal breaker on a sale. If a lefty wants one of your knives, but has to pair it with someone else's sheath, the guy with the sheaths might have a sheath that sort of goes w/ your knife, but probably has a knife that goes with his sheath.
