I have a pair of Wenge scales I will be putting on my next blade. I read some interesting things about working with this wood and one thing that caught my eye is the technique which involves using a wire brush to remove the soft light colored wood stripes and leaving the harder dark wood. This gives the handles a nice grip and texture. I just haven't found enough technical information on how to actually do that. I understand the process conceptually but I would love to hear some more insight into how it's actually done. Perhaps someone could articulate it for me a little bit, or maybe there is a video or pictures of the process? Any other ways that you might recommend working with this wood? Thank you.
