• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Worksharp and Sebenza

Be careful not to grind your thumbstuds. It's a risk when using a power tool that grinds the side furthest away from you. It can be difficult to judge how much clearance you have (or don't have :()

I've never used a Worksharp but it would have to be able to put a perfect bevel on my edge before I trusted my Insingo to go through it. Have you used it on other hollow-ground knives?

I used it on a regular Sebenza, and it worked great. Since the Sebbie is sharpened on a belt, it seems to be a perfect match for the Work Sharp, and doesnt remove a lot of material from the blade.

Did fine on my Sebenza and Umnumzaan. Since the Insingo is more of a modified wharncliffe blade, it should be fine so long as you follow the curve and don't pull the tip off the edge of the belt. You can tilt the handle down when starting near the heel if you're really paranoid about that thumb stud. I personally say it's fine so long as you don't try to reprofile to a low angle, which I wouldn't recommend anyway since the soft heat treat likes a 20 degree per side angle better.

I haven't used a WorkSharp, but my standard 1x42 belt did just fine on my S30V Sebenza, no complaints from the blade at all. Watch the tip, and you should be just fine. :)
