How To Worksharp BGA knife not cutting paper

The one thing that seems to be missing is, what knife are you having trouble with? It really could come down to the steel being used, manufacture heat treat, edge thickness, so many things play a factor.

Worse case you could always send it to me and just cover the return shipping and I'll give it my best shot for you.

You’re a true gent, Gary. And thanks for asking the key question. I was reading the thread and thinking the same.

Gary w: I've tried it on a few knives, the ones that worked were a condor primitive bushcraft knife (scandi grind) and the clip of a machete I'm customizing, but not the main edge. I'm 99% sure that one of the knives that doesn't work has worked on the original work sharp cassette. I'll think about sending it to you depending on if I get it working or not. I'll see. Thanks man.

I posted a thread having the exact same issue. Ended up sending them to TLE Sharpening. The guy is freaking awesome. Really nice dude. I got a comment telling me to get a felt deburring block. I have used the block on other knives through the progression of stones. In short it’s bad ass and it was like $6. Get one, it will get rid of your wire edge if that’s the problem. If it isn’t it’s still great to have.

Oh wow ok. So I tried a piece of wood and it doesn't do all that much. It makes it a bit better, but still tears the paper. Should I still get one? Where would I find one?

Thanks for the help man,

Bo
