Worksharp precision adjust sandpaper/lapping film

That 3m adhesive is really expensive and I was curious if there's another adhesive I could use that would work similarly. I see tacky sprays, 3m 77 ect... The tacky sprays seem like they would work but idk about the level of adhesion being enough and the 3m 77 seems too permanent from my reading. Thanks for the replies!

Another option I have found works well, is to skip the adhesive entirely.
I cut pieces of abrasive papers, polishing papers and lapping films the length of the Tri-Brasive stone, and just wide enough to partially wrap around the Tri-Brasive.
Holding the wrapped abrasive sheet so as to prevent any high ridges or wrinkles, I stroke the blade just as though the abrasive sheet were adhered to the Tri-Brasive assembly.
Works great and greatly expands the usefulness of the Precision Adjust.
