I'm in Europe for a week with my daughter visiting family and for a father/daughter trip.
This morning in London I decided to drive up to Banbury which is about a 90 min drive north of London, and visit Workshop Heaven.
My cousin drove me up. Inside an office commercial type park is Workshop Heaven.
Managed by Matthew, there are a few front office ladies helping with orders and taking care of the website.
Matthew spent at least an hour with me talking about various tools and steels.
We had a nice conversation while I went thru my list of supplies I wanted to take back with me.
The specialty seems to be mostly in fine woodworking tools, the knifemaking support side seems to be still in its early stages.
this is Matthew around his workbench, at the time he was messing around with various sharpening stones.
Matthew was kind enough to let me try out some new damascus bar that he is working with from a supplier.
I hope to make a couple blades and report back with some testing,
It was a nice countryside drive up to Workshop Heaven and I purchased a nice wood file and other items to take back with me.
