world knife shortage

Maybe you are just buying cheap knives, you peasant.

:p:D I know some CRK knives have been out of stock for a bit.

:D:D:p

To be fair though, CRKs tend to fall in and out of stock even pre-pandemic depending the model. Same goes for Hinderer, Microtech, etc.. I think more people are just home now and have the time to browse for said knives, so the shortage is more perceived than reality.

You can't blame only COVID. We are printing too much cash (less than 10% of the last relief bill were for COVID), and while the Fed keeps the interest rates artificially low, consumer good prices are sky-rocketing. Buy a Big-Mac and see if it is more expensive than last year. It is here (in California).

BTW, I don't think this post is too political, since the spending is basically bi-partisan.

I believe the inflation we saw in the 70’s is like , “hold my beer” to what’s on the horizon. Too some like it may not be an issue but for majority of Americans imho , expendable cash may become slim to none .

This makes alot of sense.

I see that more stuff is unavailable lately, simply because lately I've been looking at more stuff.

There's plenty of knives to buy. I don't think there's a knife shortage.

But trying to find PVC pipe for water mains and lumber for construction is becoming problematic.

So you are complaining about there being a knife shortage and then when many people say no, there isn't one for most knives, then ask you to provide examples, you just say you've been looking at many knives but decline to explain which knives are mysteriously out of stock? I'm assuming then that you found the knives you are looking for.

Paul doesn't want to say cuz everyone will scoop them up.
Well now, that makes sense.

OK, so maybe it's not 9%, but 30% actual relief: https://nsjonline.com/article/2021/03/hill-when-covid-relief-is-just-plain-pork-spending

Converting the Pork in the bill to direct payouts would have made $10k out of $1.4k checks.

9 or 30%, my argument stands. There is inflation when you look at consumer good price increases. Both sides of the aisle are way to generous in printing cash. In it doesn't stop, there is a gigantic "infrastructure bill" around the corner. Things won't improve.
