As a fellow motorcyclist and knife enthusiast, my deepest condolences and sympathy go to his family and friends.

Blackie Collins designed the "thumbolt" locking sheath that's on the knife that I carry every day. His ingenuity and creativity will be missed.

Jane Collins would like for us to convey to you this message- It is with much sadness that we relay to you that Blackie Collins has passed away at age 71. He died doing what he loved to do most, ride with his lady, Jane. At this time I do not have words to express our grief. We will post arrangements when they become available.

The first knife I ever bought myself was a Blackie Collins designed production model of some kind. I was 15 or 16 at the time and had no idea who he was or what he was all about.
Many years later I have come to respect his many contributions to our community. He will be missed.
Condolences to all who loved him.

Terrible news. Rip Mr. Collins. My condolence to his family and friends.

Indeed, very sad news. It's got to be twenty something years ago that I purchased an ONTARIO U.S. "Blackie Collins" 12 inch blade Bowie/Machete (with hand guard). I still own and use this Bowie (which I very much like) and when I do, I'll think good thoughts of Mr. Blackie Collins. RIP Mr. Collins.

Regards,
Tom Patrick aka HARDBALL

My first "one-hander" was designed by Blackie Collins. I'm sad to hear he is gone.

God bless him and his family.

wow.
I've owned several BC designed knives - he and his talents will be missed.
