My Brother moved last week across town and in lieu of some money he owed me he left this custom with me. Many of you here may have already seen this Bowie. It is I think the world's largest custom Bowie ( largest that I have seen ). It is 18 inches long and made out of 1095HC 1/2 inch stock. It has a high convex grind ( not edge there is a difference ) which enables it to cut like the dickens. It has an ergonomical rubberized handle and holes along the blade to help take down the weight. It has a hardness of 58-60 and one need not worry about about spine strength as this knife is 1/2 inch stock! I like big knives but this is just ( a little lol ) to big for me. This is a one of a kind custom in that he makes very few knives and never makes the same one twice going so far as to talk with the customer about what can he offer to truly give them a personal knife. This is one of his ( now mine could be yours ) own knives made for himself.
I do offer his knives for sale occasionally and had thought about doing so this time but, I knew that if I sold it for myself that the other half ( wifey ) would want a majority of the proceeds to go towards ( uggh ) bills. So I figured that I would try to trade it off first. What would you do with a Bowie like this? My thinking is you could have the worlds most interesting topic of discussion hanging in your house. You could scare those unwelcome visitors who come over into not ever coming back. Or you could actually use it. This is without exception the biggest baddest Bowie I have laid my eyes on and this knife is made to be a user not a showpiece. You could do some awesome chopping with this blade ( just make sure you hit your target or look out! ).
What am I looking for in trade? This is a custom and it's the only one of it's kind this was made out of my Brothers love of the Bowie style and hatred of the Pakistani Big Bowie knockoffs so I want to trade for nice stuff but that doesn't mean I will not consider all offers. Some of what I want is comparable to this blade in price and some falls way below.
