When I talk with Kami this weekend I am going to ask him about the possibility of making a White Hanuman. We have had trouble in the past with bone cracking and this Reno humidity scares me and bone is much harder to carve than wood -- but if he could get it done what a beautiful knife that would be. White Hanuman. One would go under the bed for sure.

Sounds like a good idea to me if you can talk Kami into it. I just saw the Hanuman in the brochure you sent me and it is beautiful but bone one would be even better. You might have to buy a dehumidifier for the house while these are there although I bet they would go mighty quick.

collin, what I need is a humidifier not dehumidifier. Last summer it went about 100 days straight here with only a few drops of rain. Relative humidity will run 10% on a regular basis and that is just too dry for me, the handles on the khukuris, my plants and everything else.

We will see about the bone.

I am sorry Uncle. I don't know what I was thinking. A humidifier makes much more sense than a dehumidifier in Reno.

Talked with Kami this AM and he is going to check with a couple of Newaris who are very good at carving bone. If they can produce the handle we will have our "white Hanuman."

Uncle Bill

Sounds interesting Uncle. Can't wait to see what turns up.

We can make the blade, no problem. Now we will see what the Newaris can do with the handle.
