World's biggest knife collector is selling almost everything.

I wonder what his wife's jewelry and shoe collections are valued at?

Yeah, I thought that was a low # too but just using an average price of about $200-250/knife (assuming that the knives are of that "quality"or better on average) the collection should still be "worth" around $500k, which is still nothing to sneeze at.

Calavaras County is just a short drive from my location. Sent an email to them asking what the viewing location/times prior to the sale will be. Oct 13th is my b-day so, depending on what's available, I could be buying a lot of extra 72nd b-day gifts for myself there. ;)

Hey that's my wife's birthday too! If you PM me your paypal email I'll send you a little birthday gift on that day to go towards one of your purchases.

This list checks A LOT of boxes for me, as it probably will for many others.
It’s a nice collection, but well short of record worthy. I am disappointed that he didn’t have more colorful examples of particularly desirable knives. Where are his unique, rare and especially interesting items? It almost seems like the type of collection that could be readily assembled within a few weeks from current factory catalogs. It may be well above a pile assembled through the home shopping network; but, not all that impressive in size or quality. I would give him credit for coming up with a creative marketing scheme.

I wonder if they come with a certificate that they are part of the record collection.

2100 knives is not close. I know of a collection with over 2500 military knives.
