Here's a larger chopper/camp knife that you can carry, toss in a tool box, leave on the floor board of the truck, etc. and not worry over damaging the appearance. It's forged 1095, flat grind leaving forge marks on the spine. The distal taper is pretty short towards the tip so that the spine stays 3/16" thick for about 2/3rds. of the length. This also shifts some weight to the front for easier chopping. Forging and final grind has the edge thin enough for fine slicing. The blade is finished with a 40 micron Trizact Gator belt. Handle material is contoured composite rubber (horse trailer mat) for sure grip when wet and shock absorbing during chopping. It's held in place with epoxy and 5/16" brass corby bolts. Comes with a custom leather sheath that will carry either left or right and can be taken out of the belt loop when needed.
OAL: 12 1/4"
Blade: 7 1/2" to ricasso
Width: 1 3/4"
Thickness: 3/16"
Price: $145 includes shipping USA. PayPal (ruger315@charter.net) or USPS money order.
