Worst accident you've ever even heard about?

I had my KMG for about 3 days when somehow my wrist ran right around the 10" wheel under the belt. I was so lucky it wasn't funny and just mildly sprained my wrist.

Good grief man. That sounds gnarly!
These grinders seem kind of harmless, but I am sure they could mess you up under the wrong circumstances.

Every power tool are dangerous for us .Many years ago I succeed to drill hole in my thumb right down the nail .... with dull one dril bits ,dull for hole in AL sharp for my thumb :D I was drilling holes in some aluminium, drill bits was quite dull so I put more pressure...drill bit snap ,what rest in drill jump back from AL and right in my tumb...but that broken edge was quite sharp....... :eek:I remember the nurse fainted/lost consciousness ?? when the doctor took rest of drill bits out of my finger and blood began to spit in all directions:D

Some of you may have seen this before. Even though I'm a bit squeamish with stuff like this, I had saved it to my computer some years ago as a reminder not think too lightly of my angle grinder and not to use it for stupid cutting tasks that it wasn't meant for like I used to when I first got into knife making, as many guys do. I honestly hate using it mostly due to the noise, but whenever I do need to use it with a cut-off disc, thanks to seeing this photo, I switched from using safety glasses and always use my full face shield respirator from 3M... Also, I'm not gonna buy any cheap discs from HF to save a few bucks, I'll make sure to use some quality Dewalt ones lol. Not taking a chance with it!

Im wearing optical glasses and because of it cant wear the regular safety glasses. Thank god, because of this i got a full face shield and that bugger combined with the respirator saved my face. Used an angle grinder to cut the tang rod to a stock removal blade. Anyhow the vibration on the grinder shook the clamp loose from the table and the disc (high quality one, the disk remained in more or less one piece) grabbed the loose blade. Flung it straigth to my mouth, tip first. Face shield+respirator caught it nicely, had to replace the face shield though. With no ppe it wold have knoked some teeth out minimally, scary to think what would have happened had it flewn to neck instead.

Anyhows, ear plugs + face shield+ a good 3M respirator are something i can not imagine working without.

I had a cheap angle grinder disc explode in my face and shattered my glasses under my safety glasses
Really lucky thing was it was my first ever time using my new safety glasses after using the angle grinder every day for months
Nevermind safety glasses my father used to take off the safety guard on every angle grinder he had and used them every day like that
