I got defective victorinox rangergrip 68 week ago.
The knife has problem with axial pivit, there are gaps between slipjoints and liners. And wrote about that to victorinox support, for first time they contacted me with assholes from Vicx distributor of my country (Azerbaijan)
This guy told me that they cant give me warranty because I bought knife from EBAY!!!
But knife is absolutely new and genuine one. I wrote em 3 times more about that, they just ignoring me.
...sry for my english)
What to do know I dont know

I'll add photos soon

Why not send it back to the people you bought it from? I hope you didn't use the kind of language with VIC that you have here. That is a great way to get the cold shoulder.

Sorry, but I wouldn't expect them to warranty a knife that they didn't know the history of (a knife on eBay could have any number of problems that occurred after it left the factory, but are not factory defects).

Did you get a receipt with it? I assume the eBay seller was an authorized Vicx dealer?

they know all... i cant resend it back to ebay seller, i wrote feedback. u saw defect right today/
autorized victorinox dealer in my country give a guarantee only for its customers no more, this assholes do not perform warranty of company! that is all problem, when im wrighting to support they redirect me again to this assholes( and this assholes just ignoring me

You should have taken it up with the e-bay seller and e-bay immediately.

I rather doubt ANY company would offer a guarantee on their products when sold by a non authorized dealer........rather obvious actually:rolleyes:

No we haven't seen photos also you are coming off very brash. Just because a eBay seller sold you a knife as new dosent mean at all the manufacture has to warrenty anything how do they know how many hands touched it? You should have went after the seller the maker owes you nothing

Here in the USA I've received nothing but stellar service from the Victorinox customer service/warranty center in Monroe, CT. I sent in a discontinued knife I had received used more than twenty years prior, and they returned it cleaned and repaired. Didn't cost me a dime excepting to ship it to them.

You can still sent it to one of the Victorinox service centers. I sent mine in with the requisite payment, but the payment was returned with the knife after the knife was repaired and cleaned.

Here is their warranty for reference

LIFETIME WARRANTY
Victorinox AG guarantees all knives and tools to be of first class stainless steel and also guarantees a life time against any defects in material and workmanship (save for electronic components 2 years). Damage caused by normal wear and tear, misuse or abuse are not covered by this guarantee.

I've always had great CS from Victorinox. Especially when I can actually go to the factory :)

So, have you actually contacted Victorinox? Or just this dealer? I dealer is very unlikely to service a product you did not buy from them. This is true no matter where you live. If I buy a BM from Bladehq, knifecenter will not take the knife back if I think it is defective. This is even more true when dealing with ebay in a foreign country. Lots of fakes on ebay.
