worst thing someone has done to your knife...? any horror stories?

Dad taught me to only loan out razor blade Knifes to folks so I keep a Kobalt Locking Razor blade knife in my desk as a loaner. Dad took the price of a OT8 out of a guy's paycheck cause the moron borrowed His without permission and broke a blade off.

Dad almost whooped a guy one time over batoning a folder on the job.
 
Nobody touch my knives.... end of story.. If someone ask me for a knife i always ask why... Don´t sound polite but my knives are sacred to me..
 
Dad always told me to never lend out tools. You'd never see them again.

Then he lent out his tools. He'd usually get them back, but I've always done better than he has in practicing what he preached.
 
The day after I acquired my ZT 0561, I was letting a co-worker take a look at it; he tries to flip it open with quite a bit of wrist flick and the knife went spinning out of his hand bouncing across the floor. Happily, it was unscathed, but man, it was only a day old...
 
I guess this isn't that terrible, but it happens a lot. Whenever I show a folder to someone, for some reason, they like to open it half way, and then whip it out as hard as they can... like... why? Just open it. Then I have to stand there trying to hide my temporary insanity...
 
My favorite is at my old job I gave my freshly sharpened Strider to a coworker to break down some cardboard boxes. I go out side to get my knife back and the dumbass was cutting through the boxes straight into the concrete I scared the poor guy to death when I started yelling at him.
 
It's was a cheap knife but anyway. A friend of mine tried to use a firesteel with the cutting edge of my Mora. No no no!

ahh thats painful to even hear the story of. even if he was cutting with a crowbar with a sticky lock ;)
