I just wanted to comment. I was also very "iffy" about doing a pre-order. I never do them and have never done them, until the 0560. Because I was so late to the party, I just didn't think it would help me out any to jump on the list. I did alot of thinking and decided to get on a preorder list though, mainly because tax money came back.

I figure I'll get mine for $260 before you guys who didn't preorder does.

Then again...It makes me sad because I've seen where guys pre-ordered like last June and still havn't gotten their's. So yeah, can't really say if the preorder thing was a good idea or not.
About KnifeCenter. For one, I don't think we're allowed to be "deal spotting" because I don't believe KC is a supporter here. Either way, I havn't had any kind of issues with them. I just ordered a knife, which I was sure was out of stock, but read in stock on their page. I was worried that I wasn't actually going to be getting the knife, but KC reassured me they don't charge you until the knife ships anyways. Also, I think the reason KC doesn't let you know your position on the list is because that would be horrible for their business. If they let someone know they were "140th" on the list, the guy knows he preordered on "4-28-11", and being as almost anyone who pre-orders a knife is involved in a community forum. I think KC knows that the information would get shared, and therefore possibly cause them to lose customers who now know that if they ordered on "9-12-11" that they are so far down the list it's not even funny. So, in return, they go in search of some "better" place to pre-order or perhaps purchase the said knife. I think it's just my opinion that it would be bad for business for KC if they gave you that kind of information.
To the OP. If you really want a 0560. Go preorder, but keep looking around different sites. I've been told a few have popped up as "in stock" and been bought, completely skipping everyone on the pre-order lists.
