I'm considering pre ordering the 0561, but wondering if I should just wait till they come out and see how everyone who's ordered likes them? Im fairly confident that after seeing the 055x and people posting about how much they love it that the 056x series is only going to be just as good, if not better. Will there be another bach released after they sell their first production, or is it a one time thing where ill be SOL if I don't pre order it now?

Thanks!

Zack

Where can I pre order one? I missed out on the 560 and I'm kicking myself it looks pretty sweet!

Ay man if you know a site that still has em let me know. I should of jumped onthe pre order a long time back.

Knifecenter allowed me to just pre order it and made it seem like it was still available, we'll see if thats truley the case.

KnifeCenter is notorious for over-filling they're Preorders.

Great, I had a feeling it was too good to be true. I'm not looking forward to getting charged 260$ right now and not receiving my knife like all the other people who pre ordered it.

KC won't tell you if you are 10 or 10000 on their preorder list. I don't know if anyone other than KG will. On the 0560 I ordered one for the pocket and one for display so I waited months and tried to pay all up front as thats the only way I figures I can save and budget for big knife purchases but looks like the amount isn't charged until shipped. I suspect at the current 4 here 5 there rate I won't receive mine for at least a year still. I'll probably get frustrated again and cancel my preorder a few weeks before a big batch goes out and screw myself... I wish if they are going to hold on billing several hundred dollars they'd tell me where I am in the queue so I could decide to wait or take the money and buy just a single one on the inflated secondary market. Then I could better plan and budget my purchases.

I don't want to risk not getting one ever or making the situation so I end up waiting 2 years or more. At least this won't be a Duke Nukem Forever because I know when I finally have one it won't be disappointing even if I have to wait forever. The 0560s are amazing!

Thats kinda shitty that they make you pay full up front.

If they are gonna do that, atleast stop at what your expected quota is.

And I agree, let the person know where they stand on the list.

That is odd i recently had a True Flight Thrower on BO and I was not charged until it shipped. It took about 3 1/2 months.

This is what KnifeCenter will send you when you preorder:

Thank you for shopping at KnifeCenter.com!

As indicated on the site, your order contains a delayed/preorder item and will ship when complete. We will send you a weekly update email on the status of your order. When your order ships, your credit card will be charged and you will receive an email with the tracking information.

Once again, thanks for shopping with the KnifeCenter. Your order is in good hands! If you have any questions, you can reach us at http://www.knifecenter.com/info/contact-us/

Echoing what's already been said, despite being excellent to deal with in most other respects, KC has a track record of taking pre-orders well in excess of the quantity of a given knife they can reasonably expect to receive. So the fact that their pre-order list is still open shouldn't be taken as a sign that you'll be able to get a ZT 0561 anytime soon if you get on the list now.

As already mentioned, though, they don't charge until they ship, so there's also little downside to getting on the list.

I just wanted to comment. I was also very "iffy" about doing a pre-order. I never do them and have never done them, until the 0560. Because I was so late to the party, I just didn't think it would help me out any to jump on the list. I did alot of thinking and decided to get on a preorder list though, mainly because tax money came back. :) I figure I'll get mine for $260 before you guys who didn't preorder does. :D Then again...It makes me sad because I've seen where guys pre-ordered like last June and still havn't gotten their's. So yeah, can't really say if the preorder thing was a good idea or not.

About KnifeCenter. I havn't had any kind of issues with them. I just ordered a knife, which I was sure was out of stock, but read in stock on their page. I was worried that I wasn't actually going to be getting the knife, but KC reassured me they don't charge you until the knife ships anyways. Also, I think the reason KC doesn't let you know your position on the list is because that would be horrible for their business. If they let someone know they were "140th" on the list, the guy knows he preordered on "4-28-11", and being as almost anyone who pre-orders a knife is involved in a community forum. I think KC knows that the information would get shared, and therefore possibly cause them to lose customers who now know that if they ordered on "9-12-11" that they are so far down the list it's not even funny. So, in return, they go in search of some "better" place to pre-order or perhaps purchase the said knife. I think it's just my opinion that it would be bad for business for KC if they gave you that kind of information.

To the OP. If you really want a 0560. Go preorder, but keep looking around different sites. I've been told a few have popped up as "in stock" and been bought, completely skipping everyone on the pre-order lists.

About KnifeCenter. For one, I don't think we're allowed to be "deal spotting" because I don't believe KC is a supporter here. Either way, I havn't had any kind of issues with them. KC is a paying dealer here.

I think the reason they never shut down the preorders is because this is a "production knife". Its not like the Paramilitary 2 blue M390 for example, that only a certain number are made ever. ZT will be producing these knives for years to come, BUT they can only make so many at a time, so KC just lets their preorder open and they don't care if your # 5,678 on the list, you will eventually get your knife from them. The question will be how long until you get your knife???? 6 months.....1 yr.....2 yrs......LOL

It's a great knife, but they'll be around for a while. Indeed there is an incentive to preorder on limited sprint runs expected to sell out fast (like my recently picked up M390 CF Spyderco military), but odds are I could grab a 0561 at street price for a bit less than what preorders are commanding if I waited a bit.

i am on the knifecenter preorder too....as a matter of fact i got this email from them today....

Rumor has it that the 0561s have begun to ship. If this is the case,
we expect to see your knife arrive in the next week or so to complete
your order.

Thank you,
