Let me rephrase your question to assure that I'm understanding it correctly:
Is the Sogwinder I the best folding knife SOG makes as a general, all-purpose pocket knife?

If this is what you're asking, there is no simple answer. SOG makes many folding knives ... many of which can be carried in a pocket. I'm sure you can get many opinions here from SOG friends who have affinities toward different folding knives we make.

My all-time favorite is the Night Vision (which I carried for 2.5 years straight):



As of about a week ago, I started carrying SOG's brand new assisted opening TiNi Aluminum Flash II seen here (with the titanium handled SOG Vision):

Hey Dann,

I recommend that you take a chair outside to your mailbox, sit down, and wait patiently until my Night Vision is safely delivered to your address. ;)

and I seem to have abt 14 of those darn autoclips in all shapes and sizes....

but basically anything Sog is a safe bet. They don't make crappy products, so once they get you sucked in you might as well just give them your paycheck:( :( :( :eek: :eek: :eek:

Ok, Ron...I've BEEN sitting in a chair* at my mailbox since LAST Friday, but I STILL haven't seen your old Night Vision show up. I've had to use up some of my sick-leave and 3 days of my vacation-time to take the time off from work as I wait on my chair, and I even had a "Porta-potty" installed next to my mailbox, and have had pizza and Chineese food delivered directly to me and my chair, so I wouldn't miss the mailman. So where's my Night Vision???

*Note: First it was just a simple fold-up metal chair, but I found that to be too uncomfortable after the 1st day, so I had my wife drag-out one of my recliners, in-which I spent the remaining 6 days (and nights, just in-case the mailman showed-up VERY late).

So where's my Night Vision???.:D.:D.

Sorry, we’ve been experiencing some glitches in our system. I'd suggest that you upgrade that recliner to one of those really slick adjustable "hospital-style" beds for this extended mailbox vigil. Maybe even install a little “tent” over it.

We're going though a change in receptionists here at SOG and when I requested to send this knife to "glockman99," she heard "berettaman99" (I don’t know how she could have mixed the two up?) and I'm in serious negotiations to retrieve my old Night Vision from this guy in New Hampshire. He really likes it, so it might be a little difficult.

But if he wants to play “hardball,” I can always send out one of our SOG Blackworks assault teams on a “recovery mission.” If he persists, he'll regret ever saying “no” to me! :D

Please, Dann. Just hang on and wait by that mailbox. It could be coming anytime. It could only be days (or weeks), but you know, it will be worth the wait! You don’t have a life or job or family or anything else to get back to…do you? ;)
