Would clip screws touch the blade if installed without clip?

I'm ...thinking... of possibly filling the extra holes in that engraved Delica with extra screws.
Would they go too far in if there were no clip for spacing?
Would they need filing down?

The screws at the pivot end most likely will have to be shortened to prevent them from rubbing on the blade tang, possibly hard enough to lock the blade in whatever position it was in when the screws were tightened.I recall someone doing this very thing, although I don't remember what model knife they did it on. The screws did have to be shortened.

I tried that on my Navigator, and the screws clamped into the blade preventing it from opening. The tolerances might be differernt on the Delica (doubt it), but if you have the ability to modify the screws, go ahead and do it.

yes they would need to be ground down on the pivot end of the knife

You might want to search for real tiny diametere washers to make up for the space originally taken up by the pocket clip. Not easy though...
